30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ON THE MARKET
About us
About SOUTH PACIFIC POOL ENCLOSURESSouth Pacific Pool Enclosures was established in 2007 soon after we saw Alukov’s amazing products at a home and garden expo in the Czech Republic. On our travels around Europe that year we noticed Alukov’s pool covers and enclosures in many residential properties. We also discovered that European accommodation providers, cafes, restaurants, and hotels invested in pool and hospitality enclosures to better cater for their guests across all four seasons of the year.
We decided to take the plunge and team up with Alukov to bring European pool covers, pool enclosures, spa domes and patio and hospitality enclosures to New Zealand, and South Pacific Pool Enclosures was born.
Our first project at a Swim School in Muriwai, is still our largest to date, a 33 metre long by 14 metre wide High-Line pool enclosure that transformed a seasonal swim school business into a thriving all year-round hub for private swimming lessons, public swimming and fitness classes. Muriwai achieved ‘proof of concept’ and gave us the inspiration and confidence to tackle any cover or enclosure project.
Now 17 years on, our team has completed over 100 projects across New Zealand from the far north to the deep south, and everywhere in between. It has been a great pleasure to meet so many wonderful people along the way. We enjoy hearing such wonderful stories from our clients about the positive impact our products are having on their lifestyle, health and fitness, social connection with family and friends, and reduction in heating, cleaning and maintenance costs.
We are immensely proud of our school pool cover enclosure projects. There are schools in Wellington, Hamilton and Christchurch where thousands of students learn to swim, enjoy water-based competition, fun and fitness and develop vital swimming and water safety skills under our pool covers. Each school generates revenue from community activities which include leasing to private swim schools, public swimming hours, sports practises, and functions.

The history of Alukov dates back to 1995, when the company was founded in the village of Orel near Chrudim and almost from the very beginning specialized in custom-made enclosures. The first pool enclosures were produced in the founding year, and since then, the company has developed more than 40 models for pools and hot tubs and over 10 models for patios. Thanks to continuous technological progress and innovation, Alukov has gradually become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of telescopic enclosures. In 2005, the company began to intensively develop international cooperation, expanding its presence to dozens of foreign markets.
Another key milestone was the opening of the Research and Development Center in 2017. This center enables material testing, the application of nanotechnologies, and the development of new structures. Thanks to these innovations, Alukov successfully responds to current market needs, including the introduction of solar enclosures that combine functionality with environmental sustainability.
Currently, Alukov operates four production programs: patio enclosures, pool enclosures (ranging from low models to enclosures for swimming stadiums), hot tub enclosures, and solar enclosures with integrated photovoltaic panels. From the very beginning, the company has focused on in-house technological development of structures and holds several patents that have become an integral part of the manufacturing processes. Thanks to cooperation with verified suppliers of high-quality materials, our products meet the strictest criteria for safety, durability, and aesthetics.
The main production facility of the company is located in Orel near Chrudim and covers an area of 30,000 m². Additional manufacturing plants have been established in Slovakia and Hungary, with a total area of 20,000 m². With an annual output of over three thousand custom enclosures, Alukov is the world’s largest manufacturer in this segment and employs more than 500 professionals. Distribution and service are ensured by a modern in-house fleet consisting of 30 trucks, 5 service vehicles, and 20 passenger cars, which enables efficient service for customers in many countries.

Products are designed to meet strict standards for safety, functionality, and aesthetics. This enables Alukov to flexibly respond to customers’ individual needs and ensure that every enclosure is perfectly tailored to the space.
A key milestone in the company’s technical development was the establishment of its own Research and Development Center in 2017. Supported by European funds, this center enables material testing and prototype development. The center further contributes to continuous improvement in production and product quality, positioning Alukov among the world’s leading enclosure manufacturers.

More information
Alukov places maximum emphasis on the selection of high-quality materials that guarantee long lifespan, safety, and durability of the enclosure. The structures are made from aluminum profiles known for their strength, low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance. These features make aluminum the ideal material for outdoor use, where it must withstand adverse weather conditions while ensuring long-term functionality.
In addition to aluminum profiles, polycarbonate panels are a crucial part of the enclosure. These panels provide proper insulation properties and high resistance to impact and UV radiation, protecting the interior spaces from adverse climate effects.
Thanks to the use of these top-quality materials, Alukov enclosures perform excellently even under extreme weather conditions. Moreover, the company introduces innovations such as solar enclosures that combine protective functions with the ability to generate clean energy, contributing to a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle.
Environmental responsibility
Alukov is committed to environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability in its production processes. In manufacturing enclosures, the company focuses on efficient resource use and waste minimization. In 2023, Alukov installed over 4,000 photovoltaic panels with a total output of 2 MWp on the roofs of its production halls. This system covers up to 65% of the annual energy consumption, and during sunny months, the facility becomes completely energy self-sufficient. Thanks to these measures, Alukov reduces its carbon footprint by more than 900 tons of CO₂ annually.
In addition to using renewable energy sources, Alukov also emphasizes eco-friendly handling of materials. All Alukov production plants efficiently retain rainwater for more effective irrigation. A strict waste sorting and recycling system is in place in production. Packaging materials are selected with regard to their environmental impact and reusability. Alukov also introduces innovative solutions, such as solar enclosures, which allow customers to generate clean energy directly at home. Through this approach, the company actively contributes to environmental protection and the advancement of green technologies.
