Pool enclosure LAGUNA

“...the result was a huge gain in children's swimming skills, water confidence and fitness levels.”

West Eyreton School completed the construction of its new South Pacific Pool enclosure in November 2014. The pool enclosure has performed perfectly throughout the Christmas school holiday period and during all of term one this year. During the swim season the pool was open every day to both the community and approximately 200 pupils.

This is the first year that our pupils swam every day no matter what the weather – the result was a huge gain in children’s swimming skills, water confidence and fitness levels. Class teachers were very impressed with how well the enclosure operated making swimming lessons a smooth, efficient exercise with no down time between the classroom & getting in the pool.

“The pool performed well in all weather conditions including some very hot days where having the ability to slide the roof sections back enabled pleasant temperatures to be maintained inside. The water temperature reached the mid 30’s with only the pool enclosure structure in place – we did not have any additional heating nor a thermal pool cover.

The feedback from parents and community members has been extremely positive and we are still receiving positive comments at this time of year. An additional bonus now that the enclosure is closed over the winter is the water in the pool remains clear with no sludge and slime.

Roland, Wendy and their team were excellent to work with; they were only too willing to assist us at the planning stages, throughout the build and during the first swim season. They both attended the pool opening ceremony and presented us with a very generous gift of a pool vacuum cleaner to help us keep the pool in good condition.”
